The Semitic Museum, founded in 1889, is Harvard University’s museum of Ancient Near Eastern archeology.
Permanent exhibits are Ancient Egypt: Magic and the Afterlife, the Houses of Ancient Israel, featuring a full-scale furnished model of two-story village house ca. 700 BCE and a reconstruction of Solomon’s Temple.

Nuzi and the Hurrians, showing everyday life in a Mesopotamian town in the 14th century BCE and Ancient Cyprus: The Cesnola Collection.

Hours are Mon-Fri 10-4pm
Sunday 1-4pm
Closed on holiday weekends.

Gift shop, free admission. Donation accepted
